Can someone tell me, does the W124 6-cylinders weigh in the vicinity of 1400 to 1500 kgs? Its alot less than the newer models I think. My car has 142kw or 194hp and runs on premium fuels. Id imaging the 0-100 times are somewhere between 8 and 9. Like someone previously mentioned, all the mercedes I have driven or owned, has a numbness to the throttle input which can be a bit annoying. Some may say that this leads to less abrupt take off, but my 94 E280 takes off with a big surge, mainly because it s a first gear start. In the wet it is so easy to spin.

Also, do people here here agree that in gear acceleration of the 6-8 cylinder Mercs is head above shoulders over alot of other cars? I have raced against other cars from about 80km/h onwards and the car can outrun quite a few others.
