My father and I replaced his carpet with hardwood, some nice (and cheap) Indonesian wood

Compared to replacing carpet with new carpet, it is more work, mostly in the cutting the planks for the corners and edges. It seems a lot easier with wider planks (they are like 3 inch wide instead of like 1.5 inch) than the old-fashioned strips I have in my house. I think the two of us did the dining room, living room in hallway in a weekend or so.
