Now if could get it run cooler. No fun driving with the heater on full blast in Summer to keep it cool.
With the heater on and aux fan on it cooles back to 100°C pretty quick even at a crawl in heavy traffic. So it seems the engine can cool but the radiator is just not enough or the temp gauge is reading too high. When it is at 110+°C and I take a reading with the IR temp gun at the t-stat housing I get 90 - 94°C depending where I point it. (temp gun accuracy is +/- 1°C).
Radiator looks pretty new but has some damaged fins. My fin fixer tool does not fit this radiator.
I will check the thermostat to see it was installed with the hole bleed hole blocked.
I love this car, love the ride very much but the heat makes me want to sell it.
