There are probably heavy-duty suspension items of all kinds that were/are available from the factory for the W123, including sway bars. That's not adapting parts from other models but the result is what you want.

The W1213 instrument cluster has a rectangular aperture blanked off (was used for column shift cars) that can be used for an outside temperature display as found on W124 and other models. I don't think this is a simple bolt-on, it probably would require more work. I think someone posted about this in the past few years.
