Well, yeah that is clearly an economy car that is economical on fuel, but fuel savings are more than made up for in parts and battery replacement.

To be clear though, that is not a master cylinder as we think of it. I am quite sure that the Prius has regenerative breaking which allows the energy soaked up from braking to be put back into the battery. Stands to reason that the mechanism for controlling this will be more complex than a simple hydraulic cylinder.

Be careful what you ask for, you might get it.
