Pull up some posts from the early 2000's from this board when GWB was in charge - there was plenty of apocalyptic ranting from the left and lots of defense from the more right leaning members.

Your classification of some members concerns here as 'childish' isn't really very helpful, please remember that great liberal catch-phrase - that the strength of a society is directly proportional to its diversity of thought.
