I've done it to my longblock. I used 603 squirters because I liked the angle they spray at better than the 104 part. I had to cut an approx 10mm X 10mm notch in the piston skirts to clear the squirters.

I think that some blocks didn't get the machine work for the squirters and I don't know what years may or may not have it. You'll have to look in the block to see. If your block has the prep work then you will only need to drill a feed to the main galley for each squirter and thread the pre-drilled mounting hole.

My experience with notching the pistons was frustrating. I made a pattern to cut the notches all the same only to find that the machine work in the block had a fair bit of variance. I ended up having to clearance each notch for the cyl it was going into.
