Yes, I am serious. I read it some years ago, but I've been thinking, the E280 was fitted with the 5-speed auto box from new. Did the E320 have a 5-speed auto box too, or were they originally decked out with the four speed auto box? You also have to take weight into consideration and the torque produced by the various engines. bhp or kw/h on their own don't show the full picture.
I've go a 300CE-24 Sportline coupe with a five -speed close ratio stick shift. She produces about 245bhp, 185 lbs of torque.
