Have a 2008 ML 350 (164.168) which, according to M-B Star Bulletin S-B-03.30/08i (April 2009), is one of several groups of vehicles likely to be prone to accelerated wear of the balance shaft gear sprocket.

Is there an engine number cutoff associated with this problem and if so, can you refer to the M-B document?
