^ Probably a good idea to wait a couple of weeks before going. If they’ve filled all the positions there’s going to be lots of first few day problems and with national attention, you know that hundreds or thousands will show up with a goal of angering the owners.
On the other hand, one thing is certain about restaurant do over shows and that that is to keep the owners away from the cooking, and also away from being servers. The shows all demonstrate that the key if not only role of the owner is to clean the toilets and glad-hand the customers, but maybe not in that order.
As an aside, I’ve watched 3 of the Kitchen Nightmare shows and they do a better presentation than does Restaurant Impossible. It seems KN has a way bigger budget and in the 3 shows I’ve seen, they tend to work with larger restaurants. They also appear to be more knowledgeable about psychology than does the group Mr. Irvine employs.
It’d be a hoot to see one of these guys have a do over of the other’s do over.
