I was able to get the passenger side out using a series of wrenches. I was lucky that the track was just at end and I could see heads of studs. both studs came loose using a 10mm open ended wrench. Then I modified an old flat wrench by grinding it down and bending the end. It was relatively easy although tedious to unscrew the studs.

The driver side was pushed all way back and covering studs too much to get at them. I used a hammer and a brass drift and hammered away until I got the seat to move forward enough to uncover the studs.

Then my wife called - her car had broken down, so job on hold.....
