When looking at some wiring diagrams for a R129 SL , I came across what looks like a translator box that takes info from sensors / engine computer and converts signals to a OBD2 output.

It looks to be 96 only work around and is not the California blinking red led in the diagnostic connector.

Anyone have a part number for this box?

My 97 SL320 M104 uses a Bosch ME2.1 and does not have such a box, and the 96 would still be using the old style VDO / Siemens type engine computer and about the time OBD2 was being phased in.
