Grab those tail lights, they are very hard to find and those look pristine. Same for the CHMSL enclosure in the rear window, those are NLA and they get sun beat.

I would also grab that upper console wood, it too is rare since a wagon has a different switch complement than a sedan. Get all the switches too since many are unique to the wagon.

Since you are pulling the headliner and already have the rear door inner cover off, get the wiring harness that goes across the hinge. The wires on the 87s tend to break due to stress. I have that problem, my rear defrost quit because the wire is broken in the wire harness.

Extra credit: Grab the shifter/ignition/brake interlock assembly and the shifter wood to get that extra safety feature so you can't knock the car out of park accidentally.

Extra extra credit: Grab the entire dual airbag system including the pax air bag, controller, wire harness, and center arm rest. That can be transplanted into your car, pwogaman did that to his wagon.
I got a kitchen pass for tomorrow afternoon to get more parts. I was planning on getting the tail light lenses too. I'll take your advice on the wiring harness. I need to also get the hatch struts, but I have to learn how to do the job first ( and what tools I need). The console parts are easy too, but the airbag I haven't a clue on. It might have to wait till the last.

Thanks for the kind words! This car was a blessing to find - it was my first time to this yard, and while I was walking to this car I ran into an old friend from a church we used to go to (haven't seen him in 18 months). I am picking up parts for my new 87 300td that I bought last weekend. It likely needs a head gasket (and or a head too) so I was looking for 300D's. There were none.

Now I am hoping that when I get the roof liner and side panels out of my car that there are threaded holes waiting for me (and a place for the seatbelt retractors to mount). I saved every bolt, nut and washer. Just hope I can remember what goes here.
