I have suddenly developed a problem with the transmission on my 560sec. The problem is when the transmission is shifting from 1st gear to second gear, it misses, the engine gives 3 quick revs as it goes into cutt-off rpm, then the second gear engages violenly.
This will only occur under full load or kickdown at low speeds, as this will be the only time 1st gear will engage.
All other shifts up or down are fine. The kickdown from 2nd to 1st is fine also.
My local MB dealer has looked at the problem, but as yet do not have any answers. A new vacuum modulator has been fitted, but no luck there either. Hoping someone can help me.
