This is a home affair that isn't catered. Nothing wrong with that, and the gifts should be reduced commensurately.

However, even in Indiana, I'm quite sure an affair at a wedding establishment or an upscale restaurant is going to run $100. per person if they offer the alcohol and the appetizers and the entree and the dessert.
