My 240 died in the middle of an intersection from the fungi.
Filled up with cheap fuel in Houston from a neighborhood station that probably didn't sell much diesel fuel. (It was still cold out at the time.) Then drove home and parked the car for a month with 1/2 tank and the weather turned warm. Car died. Next day, changed pre and main filters poured in 5 gallons new fuel with Sea Foam got home and drained the fuel tank, changed the tank filter, and filled up with Startron added.

Now we are very conscious about keeping the tank full when the weather changes.
