Whmm, I am having similar problems with my 1996 Mercedes S500 sedan. Not having your radio issue, but I get the flashing fuel light even at a half of a tank of gas. I even get it when making sharp turns at time. I recently replaced a cracked gas cap and wonder if it may be the cause. Have you replaced your gas cap recently?
