I'm going to help out a friend tomorrow by looking for a rattling sound coming from her cars engine compartment. She took it to a shop, and they said that the motor mounts are on the way out, but that the sound isn't anything to worry about and that she has plenty of time to wait until she replaces the mounts. This wasn't an MB specific shop, but they service German cars.

I did a search and came up with vibration damper and belt tensioner as possible culprits. Can you guys think of anything that might start rattling once the mounts start to soften up? Thanks
