I don't think of myself as either an ally or an enemy of people I know on the Internet.

I look at the words and really try hard to avoid imagining what the writer is like in real life. To me, fantasizing about Internet friends, allies, and enemies is a fool's errand. Instead, look at the words. Study, analyze, and judge them. Respond to the words, not the person.

Trying to figure-out what Jesus was like, based on written word, is not unlike figuring-out somebody on the Internet, based on their postings.

The resultant model is wholly subjective, entirely unverifiable and faith-based.
