If it's not the batteries , check the down pressure sensor adjustment and also that nothing is getting in the way of the photo-eye (if yours has one). We came home one night in the fall to find our garage door wide open , the only thing I could figure was a leaf blowing across the eye just as it was almost closed , now I watch the door close completely before I back out of the driveway
