The expensive and annoying problem areas on the car include every part associated with the ABC suspension and the coil packs fail around 60k to 70k miles. Idler pulleys are also a known failure point and brakes are very expensive. Spend the money on a PPI and use a mechanic who is very familiar with the car and the suspension components.

Good luck. It's a hell of a car for the money but it still has the maintenance and parts cost of a $180k car. Just do your own maintenance and repairs or you could end up spending north of $5k/year.
