the fuse for the instrument cluster is behind the instrument cluster, so the cluster must come out. as far as car stalling or rough idling I would start first with checking/cleaning things: spark plugs, distributors, spark plug wires, iacv, O2 sensor, OVP fuses/soldering, vacuum leaks. If any ignition components are worn or have compromised integrity or you are unsure of when the part was serviced or replaced, then do that. Check air filter and fuel filter as well. Hope this helps.
