and since history doesn't matter.. and esthetics are all that matters why not just Graft a Mercedes front end onto a beetle... then you've got the best of both worlds.. cheap readily available parts, RWD, and.... and.... an egg crate/honeycomb grille. then you can stance it on top of that.... whoahhhhhh what a spectacular thing it would be..
