He served his time and no doubt was involved in therapy and rehabilitation during his incarceration. His crime was terrible but people who make death threats against sex offenders has always made me laugh. Its some strange honor among criminals where murder and drug dealing is some kind of moral high ground.

Its hard to say "give him a shot" because if he does reoffend that would be absolutely terrible but on the flip side, people outside his house threatening him will make if entirely impossible for him to renter society and make an attempt at being a productive member of society.
