Local car show

I heard there was a car show at one of the local malls so dropped by hoping to buy a hot dog too and kill two birds with one stone. I was looking particularly looking for ideas on finishing the dash board for my 39 Studebaker coupe express street rod (I use the term rod perhaps loosely since it is going to have a 617 turbodiesel and a five speed tranny).

There were some pretty interesting cars there today including:
1. A model T huckster wagon with a ford 60 flathead.
2. a 54 Studebaker loewy coupe that is purple with street rodding but a stock body.
3. A Nash Metropolitan made into the smallest pickup truck ever! otherwise stock!
4. Two Studebaker pickups from the early fifties:
a. one in a semi gloss paint with no bumpers. low and looked usable and nice.
b. The second was sitting similarly but had a stripped body by stainless steel brillo pad and clear coat. That looked pretty decent too.
5. A 37 chevy pickup painted orange orange (love that color).
6. A 40 Ford pickup painted yellow primer then black primer with places sanded through to the yellow to give it patina. Looked nice.

I did not see any cars that looked stock or at least darned few. Good fun for about an hour.
