I got called a cracker once. I was walking south on a downtown sidewalk minding my own business when three young black women who were walking north showed up. I was as far right as I could get without stepping over the curb and simply walked straight ahead. The young woman nearest me caught my shoulder on her shoulder. I kept walking and heard them call me a cracker.

If I had it to do over I would stop and let them walk around me I suppose.
