I bought a rebuilt AT from Sun valley 2+ years ago. All has been fine until recently when I noticed I was no longer getting 1st gear starts when pushing the kickdown switch under the pedal like I have always done. the Kickdown function works well in all other situations just not the 2nd - 1st change down.

Anything come to mind that might cause this? I need to try manually putting it into low some more - when i tried it i was able to run up to approx 40mph before i got to the max rpm and upshifted. According to the tech manual, it should only go about 30mph before reaching redline. So I believe I was in 2nd and not 1st but I need to try the manual shift again.
I'll try to call Sun Valley to see if they will offer some advice.
