I told My Wife when She came to the USA never to leave anything in view that looks like it has any value at all; not even change in the center Counsel.
Next was never to leave the Car parked on the Street at Night; our Neighbors who park on the Street have had Windows busted out and once in a while the whole Car is taken.

Most Cars don't have system that opens the Trunk from the Door. Some have a Switch in the Glove compartment that will open the Trunk.
