300ce upgraded to c36, need differential suggestions

I have a 300ce that I plan of upgrading to a c36 engine.
I was wondering what would be a good differential to use.
Currenly I have a 2.65 without asr. I know it is a matter of preference, but what would be a good medium? I have a 3.27 differential in the garage.

Also I have an e320 coupe that I might swap the c36 engine instead. This e320 coupe does have asr. What differential should I use in this car? Where would I source a differential with asr? Which years and models should I be looking to source one from.

Another side note. I have two 5 speed transmissions that I could put in either of these cars. I have one out of a 1986 300e (5 speed overdrive) and I have a Getrag from the16V cosworth. If I did the c36 engine swap, what would be the prefered transmission and dieferential.

Keep in mind that I don't drive in racer mode, but I would like to have something peppy off the line. I probably never drive over 85 MPH.

Thanks. All your input is greatly appreciated as I plan to build a dream coupe.
