Hi, thanks in advance!

My w123 (1980 non-turbo) has a smaller diameter coolant hose right near the alternator, in the cabin heating circuit, only a foot or so long. I asked carquest if they had heater hose in that size, and the answer was no, and the recommendation was to not use fuel hose, which of course is widely available. I asked autozone, and they said they had coolant hose but sold me fuel hose, but I didn't realize it until I'd installed it.

What's my risk level here? What are the differences between the two materials?
