Later 7.3's used powdered metal connecting rods. Perfectly fine with stock power levels. Not so good if you're going for max power.

I was a regular on a Ford diesel forum when the 6.0 came out. Avoid, avoid, avoid. 6.4 and later I haven't been following, so I'm not so sure about them.
