He bough it with 74,000 miles. Even if the car had had an engine AND transmission replacement at that point, he still ran the replacements for 925,000+ miles!

I actually saw this car outside of our local Market Basket a few years ago. It had a sticker on the back of it that read "millionmilejoe.com", and I was confused because the thing looked so clean & rust-free... the thing looked better than many >200,000 mile cars that I've seen. Anyway, I went home, Googled it, and was shocked to learn that the car (at that point) had 900,000+!
You need to do what I did: drive a 1998-2002 Honda Accord with a 5-speed. Fuuuuuuun. Honestly, the clutch is light & fast with a nice engagement point, the shifter is light with short throws and a nice grip... it made our Corolla feel like a truck.
