My fan clutch is bad - which was causing my car to run hot at slow speeds and crawling up hills. I'm contemplating dropping in a 16" Spal electric fan; I had one in my euro 300d and it worked well. However, the m110 doesn't leave much clearance. I will be replacing the W/P with a US version (without the extended rod like the euro version).

Does anyone have an idea what the max clearance is once the fan clutch is removed?
