On My year and model that is where the Safety Belt Buzzer Switch Goes.

To remove it you need to slide something Flat on each side through those slots of the Switch to depress the sort of Plastic Hooks on each side and also push in the Switch Button.
It looks like the ideal thing would be the flat sections on 2 Bobby Pins with the rounded Plastic Ends removed from the Bobby Pins.
You man need to thin the width of the Bobby Pins.

In the Pic the Arrows point to the parts that need to be depressed in order to get the switch out.

In My case My Steering Colum Lock was no good and I used a Hacksaw to carefully cut of one of the Aluminum lips that held in the Switch.
But, after seeing the Switch and how it is retained I concluded that Bobby Pins would have worked (My Wife does not use Bobby Pins).

In the other Pic circled in red is the area where I cut off one of the Switch Retaining Lips. Note the Switch is already removed.
