sorry for the trouble,but some Mercedes and BMWs do go up in smoke.Glad the fire didn't evolve any more.Automovtive wire has to be rated for underhood heat too,when wiring.I know how it is not being able to afford something.Blame it on Ma Benz,and her stupid wire.
