Racing stripes ? Down the center of the car or along the sides ? I did not think of that .... hmmm

I know the fender rotted in that area, but to that extreme ? I never saw it that bad. Actually, the fenders looked great until I blasted them with a pressure washer and huge chunks of rusted frosted flakes went flying. LOL.

The new fenders are pristine. They are on par with the white ones I had about a year ago and sold. I was in a total panic when I realized I actually needed another set. Then, I stumbled into just a nice pair at the P-A-P, so that drama went away. I am having them painted on both sides to make sure they don't rust during my lifetime. Actually, everything from the firewall foward (excluding cowl) is being refurbished 100%.

Once the sheet metal is done, I am going to powder coat all front suspension parts and install brand new OEM German made components. That is my fall, post-brutal heat project. I got about a dozen major projects about 80% done, so I am getting a little giddy seeing a lot of finish lines in sight. Excluding the engine, I am thinking the front part of the car from the firewall foward will be "new" in all regards. That's the goal at least.

I should have pictures in about 1-2 weeks. I was out of town for 7 days because of my employer. I got back and had 9 sets of injectors waiting for me to crank out. I got 2 more sets and I am totally caught up. That's tomorrow's errands -- to the post office to ship them.
