Yes the cable broke. Looked at the "adjusting brake article"

I can figure out how to connect the ends, but I need help figuring how to run the cable. It runs along the top of the drive shaft and goes into a wall towards the front of the car. It looks like I would have to remove exhaust system / driveshaft / etc. to get to it. Does anyone know a shortcut
