"The right stuff" is definitely good stuff. But I'm confused. I have never seen a MB pan leak. Are you talking about the pan or the sub pan. The sub pan has a gasket and the pan does not. The pan is usually sealed ith sealer but the sub pan shouldn't need anything on the gasket. It couldn't hurt but since nobody ever has problems here I feel you are missing the true leak. I suspect you have a shaft seal or turbo oil drain leak. Where do you observe the leak?

We are now using ultraviolet lights and florescent dye to locate these leaks as they make such a mess on diesels that determining cause is hard.
