Just call Roy, he can find it, price it, ship it, in very little time. Those types of parts are rare, another thing you can do is ebay it for a generic replacement. Shift knobs are prolific, you can get one on the shape of anything you want.
Actually, a giant metal ball bearing would feel really good. Maybe it would be hard on the shifter linkage bushing, but hey, just get the replacement wrench and change them out every now and then
