A question:

How long should a 1992 300e Auto-trans last?

How much should a rebuild cost, or a new unit?

PS My tranny recently stopped working correctly, It would go into 1st gear, second, then rev up to like 4-5k an then shift sloppy, later not shift at all...I have no idea what it could be. Trans makes a whining noise. Sometimes it will not engage a gear at all...reverse works fine, and so does first.... any comments?
