Im planning to do a reseal of both breather chambers of my 2000 E320, I dont know how tacky the OE MB sealant is or what it looks like but I do have some threebond 1207B (black sticky stuff). Would this be overkill? This sealant is actually a FIPG and is used by many other manufacturers.

Reason for asking is that I dont want the breather chambers to become a one time use part.
