Our TDI, despite its shortcomings, still has a solid/teutonic ride and feel, so it doesn't cause a bad MB withdrawl. However, it is too small and much more cramped than any W201/W123/W124/W126 by far. And way smaller than a W210. I'm planning on trading it for a ML Cdi next year if I can find one....or a W210 wagon. |
It sometimes is funny that they say - you can repair a MB but not a chevy.
btw - my W124 with new ball joints, new tie rods, new alignment, bilstein shocks and new tires had a feel like no other car, it actually was twice as smooth on highway speed than in city speed. The design is simple but the entirety of package is what made it so famous.
my W210 is a leap ahead surely, but has a more "remote" feel.
