It is strictly a SAFETY issue when you mix brands on the same axle.
The ATE - BENDIX piston bores are different diameter = unbalanced brake application = potential loss of control.
Been there, done that, wet and ice roads = even the best driver in the world may have extreme difficulty staying out of the ditch (or worse).
