I have a question for any knowledgeable Mercedes owners. I have noticed on the W123 300Ds that sometimes the numbers line up perfectly, but most cars where they are claiming (very hard to believe) low miles for the years, the numbers on the odometer don't line up.

Does this mean the odometer has been tampered with? I can't imagine that Mercedes couldn't get the numbers straight from the factory?

Any input would be appreciated.
