Never cared to visit slaughterhouses but if their meat is good, I'd be all over it. I switched to the town butcher simply because while pound for pound, Wal*Mart meat makes you pay less, the poor quality doesn't work for me.
I do go to the local shops because they process wild game for me and the meat is good. This was the only place left since the other one closed up. The other one used to be good till they changed and shop went downhill.
