By some odd coincidence, I stumbled across this thread a few hours after purchasing one of the $39.95 door-mounted cup holders for my '92 300E. I had had one on a previous W124 sedan, and had never seen anything better, so bought another. When I saw the pics of the one from Griot's Garage, I immediately ordered one! I hope it is as satisfactory as people here say. Now the question is whether to try to return the one to the dealer, or just use one of each.
And if anyone wants a used but serviceable BLACK deler cupholder (removed from my late 1992 300D), give a whistle.
