TnBob, actually the line you mention from the fuel regulator to the valve cover isn't a vacuum line, but a dump line for gas if the diaphragm in the fuel pressure regulator fails. It prevents gas from being dumped directly on the engine and possibly starting a fire under the hood. The line runs from the short black rubber connector on the fuel pressure regulator to the hole in the air intake boot between the air filter housing and the valve cover.
