200K miles.
The bad first:
its a good 20' car with some shady rust repair in the rear fenders and some more needed in the engine bay. Floors seem sound.
Sunroof needs track repair. It opens and closes but pops up and causes wind roar on the highway.
AC controls are wonky and don't appear to work as they should but it does blow cold.
Mismatched tires with reasonable tread.
Doors must be slammed to latch....maybe the wrong limit straps?
The good:
It runs very smoothly and has plenty of power.
It gets over 30 mpg on the highway based on the limited driving I have done with it.
Transmission shifts as it should.
The AC blows cold at least it did back when I drove it when it was hot outside.
Shocks and suspension feel solid with no loose joints etc. I believe the PO had a lot of front end work done on it.
I replaced the diff. with a good used one.
The interior is nearly perfect except for water damage around the sunroof.
I have a stack of receipts from the PO.
It is a car that is cosmetically and detail challenged but to the right person who needs an economical daily driver with a commute it is ideal. For someone with some basic body and paint skills it can be looking very presentable with a weekend of work.
I hope someone buys it and runs it another 400K miles.
The transmission is currently out of it as I was in the midst of a five speed conversion. Now I plan to either sell it as is with the original automatic tranny in the trunk or put the tranny back in and sell it running and driving. I am keeping the five speed tranny setup.
Price running and driving $2500 obo.
With the tranny in the trunk $2000 obo.
Price includes new bump strips for front and rear bumpers and a lr quarter patch panel all new in box.
At those prices I am taking about a $2500 haircut but that's the way it goes sometimes.
