It's so cold in the people's republic of the bay area that a couple of evenings ago I suddenly freaked cuz when my van had a coolant leak about a year ago that took a while to find, I filled the reservoir thingy with water several times, lost track how many. No idea how good my coolant is. I had half a gallon of anti-freeze so I drained the radiator and filled it with that and some of the drained mix, up to about 3/4ths full radiator, got it warm enough to mix the brew and breathed a sigh of relief.

You northerners will probably scoff but we've been down in the mid 20s at night for several days in a row - uncommon for these parts.
