It is -41C WITH the windchill factor, here. I wonder if you had experienced -41C without the windchill. It could have been closer to -60C with windchill factored in. Is'nt that place you been to in Finland close to the North Pole?
I spent some years up in Yellowknife, N.W.T., Way further North than I am now. I went out to start my uncles brand new Chevy Truck one morning.
I started it and for some reason was looking at the oil pressure guage when it started....The oil pressure guage would'nt move off of 0. I waited as long as I could for it to come up. It never did move off 0, before I could'nt take it any more and shut it off. Uncle had the truck towed to the dealership to unthaw.
It was our first winter up there, so the dealer told us dummies that everyone knows you are suppossed to put 0w oil in for winter to avoid this. I think I was 17 or 18 so I did'nt know about oil. Truck was fine after warming up and correct oil changed out. It was -65C that day. Dangerously cold temps.
